Oxford offers a vast array of places to stay to suit all budgets, including 3/4/5 start hotels, B&Bs, self-catering, Oxford college rooms, Youth Hostel and Oxford backpakers Hostel and Central Backpackers Hostel.
Please note that March/April is a busy time of the year and accommodation can be difficult to find and can also be expensive; therefore, early booking is strongly recommended.
Staying at St Hilda’s College
St Hilda’s College has a limited number of bed & breakfast student rooms, which can be booked directly by contacting the college accommodation office – Miss Sarah Brett: email@example.com or Mrs Elly Moore: elly.moore@@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk. If you are having difficulty in reaching the college by email, you can also contact the Conferences Office by telephone on +44(0)1865 276888. Please request your WiFi code for use at the college and any other information at the time of your accommodation booking. You can send your comments/suggestion about St Hilda’s accommodation to the domestic bursar, Mrs Gerri Cane: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Staying at other Oxford colleges
Several other Oxford colleges (including, The Queen’s College, The University College, Balliol College, Trinity College and Keble College) also offer private accommodation during spring break. Please contact the college administration directly for booking your accommodation with them. Participating colleges are listed on the following website:
Other places to stay
There are several hotels and B&Bs a few minutes walking distance from St Hilda’s College, for example, on Iffely Road, St Clement’s Street and High Street. However, March/April is a busy time of the year and accommodation can be difficult to find, but can also be expensive if not booked early.
Based on poor feedback from past delegates we strongly advise that you avoid Cherwell Guest House, 137 Iffley Road (previously Nanford Guest House) and Balkan Lodge Hotel, 315 Iffley Road.
Youth Hostel, Oxford backpakers Hostel and Central Backpackers Hostel offer bed & breakfast accommodation from as little as £20 per night. Please contact them directly for further pricing information.
