Case Study 6 – Small-sized, computer-based event – Training course organisation and management for a European provider of courses in genomics and bioinformatics:
The Client:
A European provider of courses in genomics and bioinformatics
Tasks:
To hold a collaborative computer-based training course at Oxford for ~25 participants, held over two days:
o For approximately 20 participants
o Held over two days
o Specialised computing facilities for the training
The customer wanted us to:
o Find an appropriate venue for the training course with appropriate computing facilities
o Liaise with the venue and negotiate pricing, catering, menus, etc
o Set up a dedicated website with online registration, money collection and invoicing
o Point of contact for delegates for any logistical queries
o Open the event; make health and safety announcement and any additional announcements
o Full site management, including, for example, site preparation, assist with IT/AV equipment and WiFi
Conclusion:
This project was completed to the customer’s satisfaction, meeting all set goals. Here are a few words from the trainers and the company:
